‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ HAS to Answer These 5 Questions in Part 3

By | April 9, 2019

If you’ve just finished Netflix’s Chilling Adventures of Sabrina part two, you probably have thoughts (it goes without saying that this post contains spoilers). Yes, I totally agree that Sabrina (Kiernan Shipka) and Nick (Gavin Leatherwood) are the perfect couple, and Harvey (Ross Lynch) is much better off with Ros (Jaz Sinclair). You’re right, the Dark Lord (Luke Cook) is a capital S-N-A-C-K. And of course, I am LIVING for High Priestess Zelda. But, tbh, I also have a bunch of questions.

Here’s five questions CAOS absolutely has to answer in part three:

Where is Sabrina going to go to school?

.

By the end of part three, Sabrina was not on good terms with The Academy of Unseen Arts, but she also hasn’t been to regular school in like forever? Can she really just jump back in now that Miss Wardwell is no longer possessed by Lilith? I feel like she should be held back a year. It’s not like she was studying algebra or AP literature at witch school.

Then again, with Zelda as the self-appointed High Priestess and head of The Academy from this point on, Sabrina will probably be welcome back with open arms, and maybe get another shot at that Head Boy position she wanted so much.

Is Sabrina still the Herald of Hell?

Obviously, Sabrina and the gang foiled the Herald of Hell prophesy by locking the Dark Lord in Nicholas Scratch’s body and sending him to the seven circles, but what does that make Sabrina? As a parting gift, Lilith restored her powers, but they haven’t told us if she’s back to being her usual witchy self or if she still has all the wild skills that came with her resurrection.

Personally, I’m hoping she’s back to her simple half-witch status. I’d love to watch her actually study magic at the Academy and learn some new spells. NGL, the Head Boy competition was my favorite aspect of part two, not to mention this pure moment of joy:

Will Theo ever get a love interest?

I deeply appreciated the care that went into Theo’s coming out story throughout part two: from his awkward yet sweet moment with his father, to the way he fought against evil-Sabrina’s assumptions about his body. What I loved less was how he was repeatedly made the butt of the joke as the third wheel to Harvey and Ros’s newfound romance.

I vote we get Theo a sexy AF S.O. in Part 3…just not the ex-bully who complimented his hair at the school formal, please.

If there are angels, will we meet God?

In part two, Sabrina followed in Supernatural’s footsteps by expanding its mythology from Hell to Heaven by introducing a batch of witch-hunting angels that looked like they belonged in a traveling production of The Book of Mormon. It stands to reason that we may meet a higher tier of angels now that Lucifer is stuck in Hell. But it’s hard to introduce the soldiers of Heaven without their leader.

Even if CAOS isn’t ready for that kind of reveal, Sabrina did sound the horn of Gabriel in the finale. Perhaps we’ll have some archangels on our hands soon.

What’s with all the incest?

This may be not a plot question but an overall concern. In part 2, the Dark Lord revealed he was Sabrina’s real father while trying to marry her, but that’s not the only example. Father Blackwood (Richard Coyle) divulged to Prudence (Tati Gabrielle) that he’s planning a wedding for his twins. What is happening? Why are all the men of Greendale going all Lannister?

I’m seriously hoping Ambrose and Prudence are on the way to rescue those poor babes.
